Be very very careful in Brazil the girls are gorgeous but it is an incredibly dangerous place for a northern european. Throughout the country you have to be on alert.
Even the escorts who work the hotels regularly drug their clients and then you are bank for them and their gangster boyfriend's.This happened to a colleague working for my company in Sao Paulo .
I have been to Brazil 2 times and I never did any walking which is not my normal behaviour.
If you are local you know the risks.
But if you are obviously a foreign visitor you will have problems.
