A belated introduction, also to settle the communication in English on this .be forum

I'm from France, so English is a second language that I had to learn to expand my horizons further away than the French borders. This in turn led me to land a job in IT in Amsterdam, were I've now been living for more than 20 years. I've tried countless times to learn Dutch; I can read it, I can hear it and I usually understand most of it. So please feel welcome to reply to me in Dutch. But I will never be as comfortable as speaking it and/or writing it. My limited Dutch has never been a problem anywhere, I regularly get a better paid job, I could buy a house, I could make (girl)friends (even Dutch (girl)friends!), I could even get a Dutch Passport. Why would it be a problem for anyone here? I'm not here to insult or annoy anyone, I'm usually polite and respectful. I'm here to learn from you, share my experiences with you so hopefully you can also learn something back from me in exchange. Let's keep in mind that we're all on this forum because we share the same hobby and we want to make the best out of it. Is our language difference going to be on the way of having the best times of our lives?
You can send me a personal message whenever you want, in whatever language you want to discuss whatever you want, I have an (constructive) opinion on everything. Let's stay friends ☮️
